“First In Line” is de eerste single getrokken van het vrijwel in alle uithoeken van 
Americanaland even lovend onthaalde debuut van de jonge Zweed Thomas Denver Jonsson en zijn 
band The September Sunrise. Van dat liedje treffen we op dit EP’tje maar liefst twee versies 
aan. Enerzijds de sfeervolle albumuitvoering, anderzijds een in duet met Rosie Thomas – en 
met Damien Jurado voor de gelegenheid de harmonica bespelend – opgenomen liveversie, die 
klinkt als een eigentijdse kijk op Gram en Emmy op hun artistieke hoogtepunt. Verder zijn er 
nog enkele nieuwe liedjes (het verstilde tweetal “The City And The Outside World” en 
“Stranger At Ease” – met Thomas Denver Jonsson steeds meer op dezelfde golflengte als de 
jonge Neil Young) en het aan “Hope To Her” ontleende “24 Seven”. Samen goed voor ruim een 
kwartier wonderschone alt. country van één van de grootste nieuwe talenten die dit jaar de 
neus aan het venster staken.

"First In Line" is the first single taken from the debut album - celebrated
in virtually all corners of Americanaland - by young Swede Thomas Denver
Jonsson and his band The September Sunrise. On this EP, we get two versions
of the song, once as a duet with Rosie Thomas, and - with Damien Jurado
playing harmonica - a live version, that sounds like a contemporary version
of Gram and Emmy at their artistic high point. In addition to this, there
are a few new songs (the quiet duo of "The City And The Outside World" and
"Stranger At Ease" - with Thomas Denver Jonsson sounding more and more like
a young Neil Young) and "24 Seven," taken from "Hope To Her." All of this is
good for 15 minutes of wonderfully beautiful alt.country from one of the
biggest new talents to appear on the scene this year.
